John Atchison

Founder / Partner

John Atchison founded Atchison Construction in 1978 with a singular goal: to build homes defined by quality, integrity, and enduring value. A graduate of Centre College with a degree in Economics and Business Management, John has spent decades shaping Central Kentucky’s residential landscape while cultivating lasting relationships with clients, industry peers, and community leaders.

Today, as Founder and Partner, John serves as a trusted advisor, offering his experience and perspective while enjoying a more relaxed role in the company. Beyond construction, John is an avid skier and golfer, a lifelong UK sports fan, and a dedicated supporter of local charitable and faith-based organizations.

David Atchison

President / Partner

David has been immersed in construction his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps from an early age. Starting part-time at 15 and working through college flipping and remodeling homes in Lexington, he joined Atchison Construction full-time in 2015.

Today, as President and Partner, David oversees the company’s daily operations and long-term vision, ensuring each project reflects the craftsmanship, transparency, and quality Atchison Construction is known for. With a passion for custom homebuilding and a dedication to client relationships, David continues to grow the company’s reputation as one of Central Kentucky’s premier builders while carrying forward the legacy his father began in 1978.

Matthew Grayson

Project Manager

For more than three decades, Matthew has overseen renovations and custom home projects with a focus on problem-solving and precision. He finds the most rewarding part of his role is working through the challenges that arise on site and watching the finished product take shape. Known for his steady approach to starting projects strong, Matthew brings a unique background that includes experience in commercial construction and highway electrical work. Away from the job site, he enjoys golf.

Bobby Lynam

Project Manager

With 36 years of construction experience, Bobby brings unmatched expertise to every project he oversees. Starting out as a carpenter right after high school, he went on to run his own contracting and subcontracting business for more than 25 years before joining our team.

Bobby takes pride in working closely with customers to bring their visions to life, ensuring the finished product is one they can truly be proud of. When not at work, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time in the open air whenever he can.

Clyde Fuller

Project Manager

For more than 30 years, Clyde has built a reputation as a steady and reliable leader in the construction industry. Having spent the last 20 years with our company, he is deeply committed to seeing projects through with integrity, safety, and quality workmanship. Clients appreciate Clyde’s approachable style and the confidence he brings to every job site.

Nihad Zaimovic

Project Manager

With 28 years in the construction industry, Nihad has built a career on experience, consistency, and a steady approach to getting the job done right. As a project manager, he focuses on keeping jobs moving forward smoothly and ensuring that crews, clients, and details stay on track.

His favorite part of the job is seeing a project come together —watching the plans on paper turn into something real.

Chase Robinson

Warranty & Service

Chase is our Warranty/Service expert, bringing 17 years of experience in carpentry to our team. As a key member of our team, he now handles Warranty and Service, specializing in custom cabinetry, trim, and the installation of windows and siding. Chase takes pride in his work, knowing that the projects he helps create will stand the test of time and leave customers with a finished product they love.

John Paul Foley

Site Superintendent

John Paul joined Atchison Construction in June 2023. Born and raised in Lexington and a 2017 graduate of the University of Alabama, he works closely with project managers to coordinate all in-house job site labor — from cleanup and material delivery to site prep and protection. His focus is making sure every job site runs smoothly, safely, and is set up for success each day.

Outside of work, John Paul enjoys life at home with his two dogs and his fiancée.

Brandy Coleman

Office Manager

Brandy brings more than 15 years of experience in accounting and business management to Atchison Construction, where she oversees finance, payroll, HR, daily operations, and financial reporting. Her focus on accuracy, efficiency, and clear communication supports both day-to-day performance and long-term company goals.

A summa cum laude graduate with a double major in Business and Accounting, Brandy continues to build on her foundation through CMA studies and professional development. Outside the office, she enjoys learning new skills, spending time with her family, and exploring the freedom of the open road on her motorcycles.

Chris French

Accounts Receivable

With over 25 years of experience in both the construction and accounting sectors, Chris brings a unique blend of expertise to her role at Atchison Construction. Combining a deep understanding of construction project management with a strong foundation in accounting, Chris has successfully coordinated multimillion-dollar projects and ensured financial accuracy and efficiency across numerous ventures.

Before joining Atchison, Chris worked as Accounts Receivable Manager at Gray Construction, where she managed invoicing, cash applications, and reconciliations.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys sports, spending time at the lake and supporting animal rescues.

James Ross

Lead Estimator

James has spent over four decades in construction, with a career built on experience as a general contractor and a reputation for his ability to understand the full scope of a project. In his role as Lead Estimator, he focuses on accurate budgeting and practical solutions that guide projects from concept to completion. Away from the office, he treasures time with his grandchildren.

John Atchison

John was born in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from Centre College with a BA in economics and business management.

John has made many friends working for families, designing and building custom homes throughout central Kentucky. He also has many lifelong friendships he has built in the construction industry working on many projects and serving in industry organizations like The Home Builders Association of Lexington and The Lexington Board of Realtors.

John loves to ski in Utah whenever he gets a chance and is always ready for a game of golf. He is married to Diane and has 3 children Laura, Ann Hart, and David. He loves to travel and whenever the opportunity arises you can find him attending a UK football or basketball game.

John has always had an interest in helping those in need. He has established a consistent record of helping in his community through his church and through the many charitable organizations he has volunteered service in.

David Atchison

David has been around construction sites all his life. Growing up, David accompanied his father to job sites and began working part time at 15 years old. During college at the University of Kentucky, David worked flipping and remodeling houses in Lexington. He started working full time with his dad in 2015 and currently serves as project manager for custom homes and remodels. David now has developed his own unique passion as a home builder. David grows continually more motivated to uphold and grow the reputation of Atchison Construction as a quality construction company.
